Ravishing Roxy – Boxer Labrador Retriever American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Dog For Adoption in Ottawa ON

Meet Roxy! This gorgeous girl is a lovely mix of Amstaff, Boxer and Labrador Retriever. Just 3 years old, Roxy has been spayed, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is house broken and very healthy.

Roxy would be the perfect dog for any family if it weren’t for one little problem; she does not like other animals. She is wonderful with people of all ages and sizes, and has undergone extensive obedience training. She is just not a “dog park dog”, and needs to be placed in a home without other pets, and with a very securely fenced yard.

Roxy will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records. Please offer this gorgeous, very loveable dog the home she needs and deserves today.

Roxy’s Personality

Roxy is a beautiful girl that just wants to be loved, and is happy to get attention.
She is warm and cuddly and a bit unaware of her weight, so she loves to be a lap dog.
Roxy is a great companion for getting outside and playing in a field or backyard – she will never tire of playing fetch, going for walks, running, or swimming in a lake.
Roxy is obedient and well behaved. While she can be excitable, overall Roxy is a very well tempered and trustworthy dog.
I would trust Roxy with my life – I know she would protect me and is always happy to see me.

Roxy’s Current Home Environment

We have a large bungalow with lots of space for Roxy (she has 3 beds, and 2 couches to sleep on). Our backyard is very large (over 100′ wide) with lots of space for Roxy to run around. She is definitely better suited to a home with a fenced yard, and sufficient living space in the home. And a home comfortable allowing Roxy to sleep on the couch, and be close to her owners.

Roxy’s Current Family:

My fiancee and I have two young kids age 3 and 5. We are expecting a third child.

Roxy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Playing fetch is Roxy’s obsession. She will fetch a ball, frisbee (which she can catch very well), stick, leaf, hat – it doesn’t really matter what it is as long as you throw it for her!
She also like to play tug with a rope.

Cute Roxy Story:

Roxy absolutely loves to play fetch, and loves to swim. If I throw a ball into a lake, she will jump in without any hesitation and is a very strong swimmer. She loves being in the water, and I have even seen her put her head underwater to fetch the ball. But Roxy can also be a bit of a princess, and doesn’t like the rain, so she wears a bright yellow rain jacket to keep her dry when it’s raining.

Why is Roxy Being Rehomed?

My fiance is not comfortable with Roxy around her young kids (age 3 and 5), and we now all live together. Roxy has never shown any aggression towards the kids, but my partner is very stressed and uncomfortable with Roxy around the kids. The situation is causing stress in our household, and despite having taken Roxy to 3 different trainers for obedience (at which she did very well), my partner is still not comfortable with Roxy.

Roxy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Roxy needs some space to run and play, so a home with a yard, or close to open fields (Experimental Farm) where she can run around and play fetch is very important. Non smoking household without any other animals is a must.
